Will the Kyudo clubhouse be open to the public?

The short answer is "not very much".  The HKF estimates that ony 15-20 people show up to Kyudo practice sessions, and that all the island Kyudo clubs together only have around 50 members.  The opportunities for new people to learn the art are very limited; lessons take a very long time, are expensive, and there are currently only 2 teachers certified on the island, who can only take in 10 pupils at a time.

At one open forum the HKF representative suggested that people could be trained at special seminars run by visiting sensei, but they have since confirmed that these would be seminars for advanced, already-trained archers.

The HKF has confirmed that the Kyudo training is not suitable for keiki until they are of late high school age.

At open meetings the HKF has said that the clubhouse will be open for other activities, and have listed a wide variety of such activities, but they have confirmed that they do not in fact plan to host any such activities.  Moreover, most of these are already held at other suitable venues, such as the Japanese Cultural Center.
